Tractor Loader Backhoe Earth Auger Bits Features & Benefits

Our Standard Duty Single-Flight (CDF/SF) augers are an economical choice when soil conditions are light, and usage is intermittent. We build these augers with the same components and the same integrity we bring to their double flighted counterparts. We build them with a one-piece cast steel boring head that the replaceable teeth bolt onto. The overall length of these augers is 4 feet.

The Standard Duty Double-Flight (CDF) augers are the most common we build. Their double flighted construction gives you more capability to move dirt out of a hole faster. They’re great in drilling conditions of light-to-moderate difficulty. We build them with a one-piece cast steel boring head that the replaceable teeth bolt onto. By using a casting, we can pitch the teeth at different angles for more aggressive drilling. The overall length of these augers come in 3’, 4’, 5’ and 6’ feet.

Aggressive Duty Double-Flight (CDC) augers are ideal for tougher drilling applications. They’re built with a one-piece cast steel boring head, which holds teeth at very aggressive angles. This makes them ideal for drilling effortlessly into compacted, heavy clay, frozen soils and cobble mixes. The overall length of these augers come in 3’, 4’, 5’ and 6’ feet.

Premier’s Tree (CDT) augers are the ideal tree and shrub landscaper labor-saving tool. We fabricate each of these augers with two different diameters of flighting. This design produces a hole with a step which allows space for the addition of compost or other soil enhancements. An additional benefit of the two-step design is that it helps eliminate air pockets typically produced when holes are dug with a conventional flat-bottom earth auger. The overall length of these augers come in 3’ and 4’.

Our Heavy Duty Rock (CDR) augers have carbide bullet teeth that can drill some serious rock conditions. These are heavy-duty augers built to handle the toughest demands. With thicker flighting, heavier center tubes and hard-faced leading edges these augers are built to withstand abuse. Maximum down pressure and slower rpms will produce the desired results. The overall length of these augers come in 4’.

Our High Torque (HTA) augers have larger teeth and pilots designed for high torque applications. Thicker flighting, heavier center tube and a more aggressive boring head makes these augers productive in extremely tough drilling conditions. Ideal for compacted solid, heavy clay, frozen ground, and cobble mixes. Extensions can be added to drill deeper. The overall length of these augers come in 6’.

High Torque Rock (HTR) augers have carbide bullet teeth that are designed and engineered to drill into solid and fracturable rock with maximum down pressure applied. These augers come with 3/4" thick bottom flighting, heavier center shaft and hard-faced leading edges. Extensions can be added to drill deeper. The overall length of these augers come in 6'.
